"For a couple of weeks I have worked for a television company in Dar es Salaam called Tanzania Broadcasting Company (TBC). The company produces a morning show called “Daladala”, which means “minibus” in Swahili. My task was to help the two editors working there making better use of the editing program Final Cut Pro, and turn them in to more conscious editors. After a couple of days it became clear that my help was also needed other places besides the editing room. Great hospitality and a open minded attitude from all of the different sections in TBC was presented to me when I came with suggestions of what maybe could be done differently in the production. The period I spent with the company has offered challenges that have allowed me to grow as an editor, and given me the opportunity to get to know a rather lovely crew that I hope to keep in contact with in the future."
"With supervisor Irene Dundas Nilelsen-Moe in front, Get Real Training has been a friendly and supportive organization that has given all three of us the opportunity to get to know all the different sides of Tanzania in a safe and giving way. Personally I won’t hesitate to repeat this experience again."
